What is MediChill?
MediChill is a world leading cold therapy product that offers drug free
pain relief through the use of Ice Pad and Ice Bandage technology.
2. What is a MediChill Ice Pad?
An ice pad is a cell of frozen or chilled gel encapsulated between a soft
touch fabric and a synthetic film. Multiple cells form an ice pad sheet
or ice bandage sheet.
3. What is a MediChill Ice Pad made of?
The fabric and film encapsulate de-hydrated super absorbent polymers within
the cell. When hydrated (soaked in water) the polymers absorb and retain
the water in preparation for freezing or chilling.
4. How do MediChill Ice Pads work?
Simply hydrate until the cells are firm to touch (approx 20 mins) or until
the cell size suits your requirements. Chill or freeze the pad. It is
then ready for a pain relieving application.
5. Where can you use MediChill Ice Pads?
MediChill Ice Pads can be applied to most parts of the human body, giving
effective and drug free pain relief for:
(a) Soft tissue trauma, sprains, strains, muscle tears and dislocations.
(b) Injury rehabilitation.
(c) Treatment for stings and bites.
(d) Body temperature control.
(e) Minor Burns and Sunburn.
(f) Back and neck pain.
(g) Nursing mothers.
as well as for transportation of medications and bio-medical samples.
6. What are the benefits of MediChill?
(a) Very economical.
(b) Re-usable and should last for many years.
(c) Stays dry when thawing. No pools of water.
(d) Removed the need for constant replenishment of liquid ice.
7. Is MediChill toxic to humans?
No. It is completely safe to humans and is suitable for food contact.
Conforms to Australian Standard Regulations and Food and Drug Authority
Regulations.
8. What are the features of MediChill?
(a) Stays frozen longer than ice.
(b) Can be cut to varying sizes to suit most applications.
(c) Very flexible and pliable for ease of application.
(d) Non toxic and completely safe.
(e) Different cell sizes for different applications.
(f) Can be microwaved for HOTPACK treatments.
(g) From full body coverage to the smallest extremity.
(h) Extremely light weight when dehydrated.
(i) Easy to store and handle.
9. Why is MediChill better than Liquid Ice
or a Blue Gel Ice Pack?
(a) Far more cost effective than liquid ice and traditional gel packs.
(b) Stays chilled longer than gel packs and frozen longer than liquid
ice while remaining dry when thawing.
(e) Can be re-used or disposable.
(f) Is flexible when frozen and can be cut to fit most applications whereas
a gel pack is one size.
(g) Suits a far larger spectrum of needs from very large torso injuries
to the smallest extremity.
(f) If a gel pack gets punctured, you have to dispose of it. If a MediChill
Ice Pad cell is punctured, simply wash out that cell, you can still use
the rest of the sheet.
